PIANO

Renate Hudler, a Viennese pianist and pedagogue, received her first lessons from Leopold Husinsky. Thereafter, she studied under the tutelage of Igo Koch at the Konservatorium Wien Privatuniversität (now the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien), where she completed her Bachelor and Master degrees in piano performance. Renate then studied with Michael Hrubý at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, where she completed her Bachelor and Masters degrees in piano pedagogy.

In addition to her studies, Renate received important muscial inspiration from historic keyboard instruments (she received instruction in harpsichord from Johannes Bogner and fortepiano from Stefan Gottfried) and master classes (from Jiří Hlinka, Ferenc Rados, Georges Pludermacher, among others).

In 1995-2000, she took part in the Bösendorfer Klavierkurs in Lilienfeld, played her first solo concert in 2000 at the Yamaha Concert Hall in Vienna, and performed at the 25 year anniversary concert of the Friends of the Wiener Staatsoper in the RadioKulturhaus Wien in 2001.

Chamber music is also of great importance to Renate Hudler. She regularly gives concerts with other professional musicians (including Liederabende) and is often called to accompany instrumentalists and singers at entrance and final examinations at Austrian conservatories and iniversities of music. Since 2014, Renate regularly performs in a piano duo with the Canadian-American musician, Karl Heinz Grube. Finally, she started working 2016 as an accompanist at the high quality musical program for young people, Superar.

As a soloist and chamber musician, Renate has given a large number of concerts in Austria, Sweden, Greece, and Korea. Amongst them were concerts featuring Carl Orff‘s Camina Burana, the Austrian premiere of A. Dvořák‘s Stabat Mater for piano and chorus with the St. Georgschor Wien under the direction of Gustav Danzinger, and chamber music performances at the Aurora Chamber Music Festival in Trollhättan, Sweden.

COREPETITION

Akari KOMIYA wurde in Osaka, Japan geboren. Ersten Klavierunterricht erhielt sie bereits im Alter von fünf Jahren.
Später studierte sie am Doshisha Women's College of Liberal Arts in Kyoto bei der bulgarischen Pianistin und Solistin Svetla Protich und absolvierte 2010 erfolgreich ihre Diplomprüfung. Als Würdigung ihrer hervorragenden Leistungen erhielt sie ein Stipendium für Auslandsstudien in Europa. Auch während ihrer Studienzeit konnte Akari Komiya bereits zahlreiche Preise bei Wettbewerben erringen.
Seit Herbst 2010 studiert Akari Komiya Klavier an der Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Wien beim international anerkannten österreichischen Pianisten Prof. Manfred Wagner-Artzt, Kammermusik bei Andrea Bischof (Mitglied des Quatuor Mosaïques), Hammerklavier bei Prof. Harald Ossberger und Cembalo bei Prof. Stefan Gottfried. Schwerpunkte liegen bei Korrepetition und Musikkunde.
Als Korrepetitorin ist sie häufig an der Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Wien, am Haydnkonservatorium Burgenland, der Johann Sebastian Bach Musikschule und der Musikschule Margareten Wien zu Gast. (Klassenabende, Prüfungs- und Diplomprogramme, Probespiele, Wettbewerbe, Meisterkurse).
Darüber hinaus arbeitete sie auch als Orchesterpianistin (diverse Orchester in Japan, Wiener Jeunesse Orchester) und als Ballettkorrepetitorin.
2012 gründete sie mit der französischen Violinistin Charlotte Fonchin und dem österreichischen Cellisten Michael Jurecka „Le Trio“.
2014 entstanden Aufnahmen mit Werken zeitgenössischer Komponisten aus England sowie Musik von Benjamin Britten für eine CD mit Georg Hamann (Viola).
Im Sommer 2014 war sie beim Meisterkurs in Edelhof als Korrepetitorin im Gesangsstudio tätig.
Besonders mit Auftritten im Arnold Schönberg Center und der Österreichischen Nationalbibliothek mit den Werken von Schönberg, Eisler, Schulhoff, Pisk, Britten u.a. erwarb Akari Komiya sich den Ruf als vielseitig versierte Musikerin.
Ihr ausgeprägtes Interesse an Kammermusik führte schon nach kurzer Zeit zu intensiver Zusammenarbeit mit in Wien lebenden InstrumentalistInnen und SängerInnen sowie darüber hinaus auch zu Tonaufnahmen und zahlreichen Konzertauftritten in ganz Österreich, Italien und Japan. 

COREPETITION

Mai Ohishi was born in Aichi, Japan. She started learning piano at the age of three, her mother was her first teacher. After graduating from high school, she started studying in Kunitachi College of Music, in the class of Megumi Ariga.
In 2005 she moved to Vienna and took private lessons with Jan Gottlieb Jiraceck.
In May 2007 she received the Erika Charry scholarship.
She graduated in 2011, finishing her master degree in piano performance under Johannes Kropfitsch and piano accompaniment in 2013 under Denise Benda. Besides her solo piano concerts, she also plays chamber music actively and gives concerts all over Japan and Austria.
Since 2013 she plays as an accompanist in the cello class of C. Ottensammer in the Konservatorium Wien Privatuniversität and also in various master classes given by F. Bartolomey, W. Klos and M. Schucan.

COREPETITION

Dr. Pantelis Polychronidis is a collaborative pianist, educator and scholar who performs regularly in both the U.S. and Europe. He is Senior Lecturer at the University for Music and Performing Arts in Vienna (Department of Voice/Opera) and also teaches at Vienna Konservatorium and at Wiener Musikakademie.

He served as an Assistant Professor in Residence at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and in  2012 he was a Martin Luther King, Jr.-César Chávez-Rosa Parks Visiting Professor of Music at the University of Michigan. Dr. Polychronidis was on the Collaborative Piano Faculty of the American Institute of Musical Studies (AIMS) in Graz, Austria and often performs at the Franz-Schubert-Institut in Baden bei Wien, of which he is an alumnus.

Combining the best elements of the European and American musical traditions, he is equally at home in the art song and the operatic repertoire as well as in chamber music. He has been in demand as a collaborative pianist and coach, and has performed in Austria, Germany, Greece, Holland, Slovakia, Belgium, England and the U.S. 

He received his Bachelor in Musical Studies from the University of Athens with emphasis on ethnomusicology and historical musicology. He obtained his M.A. in Solo Piano and Collaborative Piano from Bowling Green State University, Ohio. Next, he studied with Martin Katz at the University of Michigan where he was awarded his Doctorate of Musical Arts (DMA) in Collaborative Piano. While at Michigan he accompanied the studio classes of George Shirley and the late Shirley Verrett. During his U.S. studies Dr. Polychronidis was supported by a Fulbright and an Onassis scholarship. He has completed two Postdoctoral Programs at the University for Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, in Lied accompanying and Chamber music, with Charles Spencer and Roswitha Heintze respectively.
